Hard Summer Music Festival

The Hard Summer Music Festival L.A. will be located @ the Los Angeles Historic Park, on August 7th, 2010. Http://www.hardfest.com/index.php describes the park as, “a scenic 36-acre property adjacent to Chinatown and Dodger Stadium.” There will be two massive stages and 12 hours of music that will surely electrify your eardrums with pleasure! The Keep It Tight Ladies will be attending this festival, mobbing deep in celebration of Natasha’s Birthday! Woot Woot! We obviously love music especially the musical acts performing @ Hard, such as; Major Lazer, Diplo, Digitalism, Tiga, Flying Lotus, Green Velvet, Skream, Benga, Caspa, Switch, Sinden, & The Gaslamp Killer, just to name a few. I have heard security is crazy, so nix passing out my mixtape. Ugh.. well maybe in the parking lot… Http://www.hardfest.com/index.php also stated this on their website, “Please leave these items at home: backpacks, oversized purses, dolls, toys, plush items, glow sticks, candy, blankets, professional cameras, video cameras, weapons, glass, bottles, food, beverages, and open cigarette packs. Listed items will not be permitted. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone.” Sounds kinda wack to me, no backpacks?! The show is 12 hours but we’re not allowed to bring backpacks or purses or blankets?! I hope they will be allowing re-entry. We are going for the love of music, so pishaw with that wackness. Although these rules may have been implemented due to the recent drama @ Electric Daisy Carnival where a 15-year-old girl died by suspected overdose, ecstacy was found in her system.

As for the HARD FEST M.I.A. which was supposed to take place in July, statements made clear it was not for security breech, but because ticket sales were low. Http://www.hardfest.com/refund.php stated this on their website:

HARD LA M.I.A. Saturday July 17th has been cancelled, but not due to the lack of support or the full approval from the personnel at the City of Los Angeles and California State Parks who have signed off on our comprehensive security plan. We have decided to instead produce one massive event on August 7th at the same amazing location, the Los Angeles State Historic Park in Downtown Los Angeles.

We continue to work closely with LAFD, LAPD, City of Los Angeles, and California State Parks who continue to support all HARD events and have approved our plan to operate the HARD SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL at the Los Angeles State Historic Park on August 7th 2010 featuring Soulwax, Crystal Castles, Major Lazer, Erol Alkan, Diplo, Digitalism and more. HARD NYC M.I.A. in New York July 24 at Governors Island also continues as scheduled.

Tickets for HARD LA are automatically valid for the HARD SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL.”
