DJ Element: CD Release THIS Thursday!

Being a transplant from CA, there’s a lot of stuff that I miss from home: diversity (other asians to be exact!), late-night eats, moderate weather, the sticky icky, courteous & attentive drivers, etc.  A lot of people ask what’s actually good out in AZ and one thing that immediately comes to mind is the art community out here.  For being a vast, barren desert full of dust and dirt, AZ is actually overflowing with talent, artistry, and creativity.  From the canvas to graphic designs, from the bboys and bgirls in the cyphers to the independent crafters, AZ is putting it down in a BiG [artsy] way.

I wanna take this time to shine the light on one of AZ’s Finest: DJ ELEMENT.  Not only am I honored to know this guy, he is @ the top of his game and world-renowned. Here are a few quick thangs about Element you should know:

* Started DJing in 1994.
* Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. (by way of the Salt River Indian Reservation)
